Lyse was one of the most successful female runners in Bryant history. She earned three straight Northeast-10 Conference cross-country selections from 1983-85, highlighted by a second-place finish in the 1985 Conference championships. She also earned ECAC All-East honors during her senior season in 1985. In outdoor track, she was one of the top New England Division II distance runners in each of her four years at Bryant.

The 1986 Tri-State Conference champion, she set the Bryant, Tri-State Conference and Rhode Island College facility record in the 3,000 during her senior year. In addition to her athletic accomplishments she also was both an ECAC Academic All-East selection and was named the 1986 Bryant Student-Athlete of the year.
