The Bryant University women’s lacrosse team achieved great success under the direction of former coach Jill Batcheller. During her six years at Bryant (2013-18) the Bulldogs won at least 10 games in each season and went an incredible 77-33 (.700) during that time. Batcheller led the Bulldogs to three Northeast Conference Championships and three berths in the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championships. 

Bryant was the only NEC team to ever win at least a share of five consecutive regular season titles and is the only coach to earn the league’s Coach of the Year honor in four consecutive seasons.  In just her second season, she led the Bulldogs to 15 wins including an undefeated 7-0 mark in the NEC.  

Led by Hall of Famer Lauren Descalzo, Bryant boasted one of the nation’s top scoring offenses that year.  

Batcheller coached 37 all-conference athletes including eight major award recipients.  She went on to serve as the head coach at Drexel for three seasons is currently in her fifth year as the women’s lacrosse head coach at Villanova University. Batcheller has now won 135 games in 13 seasons as a head coach, a winning percentage of .625, and has reached the NCAA Tournament four times.
