Fred Reinhardt Fred is the founder of the modern Bryant cross country and track & field programs, coaching the Bryant teams in their first season in 1965.  

During his tenure, Bryant became one of the top college-division cross country and track & field teams in New England. A professor in the Bryant Mathematics Department, Reinhardt was one of the leading track officials in New England and served as president of the Rhode Island Timers Guild as well as the commissioner of the Eastern Intercollegiate Athletic Association and secretary-treasurer of the New England Track & Field Coaches' Association.
