An outstanding all-around athlete, Gordon Balme ’68 enjoyed a tremendous four-year career as a member of the Bryant baseball team from 1965-68.  The starting pitcher as a freshman, Balme went 4-2 including a 14-strikeout performance against St. Francis (Maine). He went 5-2 the following year, with another dazzling 12-strikeout, one-hit outing against St. Francis. A co-captain, Balme was the recipient of the Vincent Votolato award, given to the outstanding senior student-athlete in 1968.
