Dave became Bryant's first basketball All-American when he was named to the NAIA All-American team in 1976.  That same year, he also was selected the ECAC Division III Player of the Year and led New England in scoring.  

It was in 1976 that Big Dave (6-foot-10) set a Bryant single game scoring record with 53 points against St. Francis College of Maine.  He currently holds the number three spot on the Bryant men's basketball all-time scoring list with 1,854 career points.   During his career, he averaged 24.8 points per game in 64 games played between 1973-1976.  He is currently third all time with 677 career field goals made and fourth all-time with a 56.1 career field goal percentage (677-1206).  

In addition, Sorafine is fourth all-time with 1,003 career rebounds, averaging a school record 12.6 boards per game.  Defensively, Sorafine blocked 103 shots.
