Diane Tedford-Pomeroy is considered one of the most decorated female runners in the school's history. She was the first Bryant College female cross country runner to earn All-America status and one of the top runners to come out of the Northeast-10 Conference and the East Region.

She established herself as one of the best in the nation with a 15th-place finish at the 196 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. In 1986, she earned eight individual meet titles and was the conference individual champion that same year.

Thanks in part to her performances Bryant captured first place titles at both Saint Anselm and Rhode Island College Invitationals. During the outdoor track season, Tedford-Pomeroy captured the 1986 Northeast-8 title in the 800 and 1,500 meters as a sophomore.

The next year she led Bryant to a second-place finish as the individual runner-up at the Tri-State Conference Championships and a seventh-place team finish at the NCAA Regional Championship. During her time at Bryant she earned all-conference honors and was also recognized for her hard work in the classroom by earning All-Northeast-8 Academic honors as a senior.
