One of the most dominant pitchers in the Northeast-10 Conference, Doug Johnson ‘05 earned 17 wins and five saves during his three-year career at Bryant. The NE-10 Freshman of the Year in 2000, Johnson was named first team all-conference in 2000 and 2002.

He holds the top two Bryant Division II single-season records for strikeouts with 86 in 2002 and 78 in 2000 and is fifth all-time with 220.  His eight victories on the mound in 2002 were the fifth-best in school history at the time, and he ranks ninth all-time with 243 innings pitched. 

Following his junior season, Johnson was drafted in the fifth round by the Colorado Rockies in the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft.
