Beth Connealy '96
Women’s Basketball
Hall of Fame Class of 2007

Beth Connealy (Wandyes) led her teams to a combined 61 wins during her four year career including an 18-9 season in 1995 which saw the Bulldogs capture the ECAC Championship. In addition, Connealy also holds the school record for steals in a game (10), steals in a season (103 in 1994-95) and career steals (258). During her career, Connealy was instrumental in the success of Bryant basketball during the mid-90’s.

Considered one of the toughest players to come through the program, Connealy had to overcome ACL injuries in both knees over the course of her basketball career, including an ACL injury to her right knee that ended her sophomore season.

A native Chepachet, RI, Connealy made her mark on Bryant women’s basketball with her defensive tenacity, and was regarded as one of the toughest defenders in the Northeast-10 Conference. Playing alongside fellow Bryant Hall of Famer Liz Davies, the duo teamed up to captain the Bulldogs to the 1995 ECAC Championship and a year later led the Bulldogs to the 1996 NCAA Tournament.

She is one of only 19 Bryant women’s basketball players to tally more than 1,000 career points.

Following graduation in 1996, Connealy served as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team from 1997 to 2001. During her tenure as an assistant, Wandyes also managed and oversaw Bryant’s Club Sports Program which included over 200 participants. She managed to create and implement an alumni database for the athletic department. Following her stint at Bryant, Wandyes would go on to coach women's basketball as an assistant from 2001 to 2002 at the University of South Carolina Aiken.  From there she spent two years as the recruiting coordinator and assistant basketball coach at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Connealy returned back to Bryant in 2007 and currently serves as Bryant's Senior Associate Athletic Director of Senior Women's Administrator.

In 2018, Connealy was recognized as a Legend by the Rhode Island Interscholastic League.
