Gary Young was a two-time All-America and a three-time All-New England selection for the Bulldog men’s golf team. He led Bryant to four Northeast-10 Conference championships, was a three-time all-conference pick and NE-10 individual champion. Young’s best effort on the national stage came in 1988, when he finished in ninth place in the individual standings at the NCAA Division II championships, and he still holds the New England championships record for lowest 36-hole score (66-67-133). Young graduated from Bryant in 1989 and has been the head professional at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton, Mass., for 12 years. He is a resident of Northbridge, Mass.
