Hall of Fame Class of 2013

Hall of fame member Bryant University football has produced a number of outstanding quarterbacks since the program’s inception in 1998. But of them, one name stands alone -- Charlie Granatell. A starter from the moment he stepped on campus in the fall of 2004, the Bulldogs became an instant contender not only within the Northeast-10 Conference, but throughout the region. Possessing a powerful arm and tremendous play-making skills, Granatell and his teammates took Bryant football to a new level.

A two-year team captain, Granatell finished the 2006 season ranked second nationally in passing efficiency (167.55). The school’s all-time career passing leader with 6,984 yards, Granatell also holds school records for passing yards in a season (1,975), career pass attempts (961), career completions (546), completions in a game (29) and in a season (165), and passing touchdowns in a game (4), season (21) and career (56).

During his career, Granatell led the Bulldogs to 27 victories and a pair of NCAA playoff appearances. He passed for 265 yards and three touchdowns in a home playoff game against West Chester in 2006. Granatell was named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team pick twice and was selected as the NE-10 Offensive Player of the Year and Bryant’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior.
