CHARLESTON, S.C.- The Bryant track and field team opened their outdoor season this past Friday at the Buccaneer Invitational at Charleston Southern. The Black and Gold broke three school records and had 21 additions to the school's all-time top ten performance list.
Jasmine Hope had quite the homecoming for herself as the South Carolina native would reset her outdoor mark in the women's 100m with a time of 11.83. Ryan Slaney would break the three year old men's 1500m school record; running 3:48.54. Kasey Thomas also reset her previous school record in the women's shot put with a distance of 14.94m.

William Remkiewicz finished 3rd overall in the men's 800m with a time of 1:55.81.

Mathew Henricksen placed 2nd overall in the men's discus after throwing 43.34m. He now ranks 4th all-time in school history. Henricksen also placed 4th in the shot put and 5th in the javelin; earning all-time top ten marks in both events.

Aliya Barrows had an impressive performance in her return to the Carolinas as she would place 2nd overall in the women's 400m with a time of 56.49. She now holds the 4th all-time spot in Bryant history.

Freshmen Iyana Braswell and Dasani Stewart both had amazing performances in the women's long jump. Braswell jumped 5.30m which is good for 4th all-time and Stewart jumped 5.26m which is good for 6th best all-time.

Abby Hamilton finished the women's 300m in 10:06.68 to move to 5th all-time in school history.

Andrew Gleason earned the 7th best time in the men's 100m with a time of 11.02.

Jaylin Rainford also earned an all-time top ten mark in the 100m after running 11.09.
What's next: The Bulldogs will return home to compete in their annual home meet; the Black and Gold Invitational. The meet will get underway with the running of the 10K on the evening of Friday March 29th and conclude with the remainder of the meet on Saturday March 30th.
