PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Bryant University track and field team competed at the Penn Relays. The Black and Gold competed in various events during the three-day meet.
Jasmine Trott started the campaign for the Black and Gold on Thursday in the 5k. Trott recorded 31st place. Trott's fastest 400 meter split was 1:16.68, 1400 meters into the race.
Moving to Friday, Kalen Knott earned the bronze medal in the pole vault. Knott recorded a mark of 4.87 meters.
Ryan Bourke, Andrew Gleason, Josiah Johnson and Nathan Miller combined for a seventh-place finish in the Sprint Medley Championship of America. These four established a school record in the sprint medley relay, finishing with a time of 3:21.74.
Kelley MacElhiney, Emma Guadagnoli, Lauren Haddad and Chloe Whiting combined for a sixth-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay. These four established a school record with a time of 11:28.08.
Amanda Broussard, Ava Burl, Jordyn Collins and Lauren Haddad earned first place in Friday's 4x400 Eastern competition. These four qualified for the final with a time of 3:53.13 and won Saturday's final competition with a time of 3:55.20. The Black and Gold won this competition by a narrow margin, edging out Quinnipiac by 0.44 seconds.
Matthew Henricksen and Aiden Guarneri earned top-10 placements in their respective events. Henricksen recorded a mark of 49.56 meters in the discus throw. Guarneri recorded a mark of 58.45 meters in the javelin throw.
Ella Goulas earned ninth place in the triple jump. Goulas recorded a mark of 12.04 meters.
Shelby Anderson recorded a 14th-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 38.54 meters.
