Men’s and Women’s Track and Field sweep Black and Gold Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The men's and women's track and field team placed first for the second straight year at the 2025 Black and Gold Invitational. The men's team won the meet for the third year in a row while the women's team repeated for the first time in program history.

The Bulldogs had three school records on the weekend. Jasmine Trott had the first record of the weekend, resetting her mark in the women's 10,000 after finishing in 34:01.76. That time would be a minute faster than her previous PR.

Bryant then had two records on Saturday. Shelby Anderson reset her record in the women's javelin with a throw of 42.79m. Chloe Whiting had the final record of the weekend, shattering Melissa Lodge's '18 time of 16:34.36 in the women's 5,000m, finishing in 16:19.17.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables:

The Bulldogs had 45 total PR's at Black and Gold.
Bryant has had five women and three men qualify for ECAC this season.
The Black and Gold have had seven women and six men qualify for New England's.
Bryant has now broken four school records this year (Chloe Whiting [5k], Kalen Knott [Pole Vault], Jasmine Trott [10k], Shelby Anderson [Javelin]).
Aiden Guarneri launched to victory in the men's javelin with a throw of 58.58m.
Dasani Stewart won the women's long jump with a best jump of 5.34m.
Brooks, Keyes, Miller, and Sivo won the men's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:25.91.
Freshman Kyle Keyes picked up the win in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 56.36.
Vince Sivo and Savannah Pineda swept the 400m over the weekend. Pineda won the race with a time of 58.31 and Sivo placed first with a time of 50.15.
