BOSTON - The Bryant Track and Field team competed in two meets in the greater Boston metropolitan area. The Black and Gold competed in the Harvard Invitational as well as the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University. The Black and Gold recorded 17 all-time top 10 performances during this stretch of fierce competition.
Chloe Whiting earned a school record at the Terrier Classic in the women's 5k. Whiting finished in first place with a time of 16:05.69. Jasmine Trott finished the 5k in sixth place, recording a time of 16:20.88.
Ryan Bourke earned a fifth place finish in the 500 meter run. Additionally, Bourke recorded 25th in the 1000 meter run.
Ava Burl and Emma Guadagnoli recorded 22nd and 23rd placements respectively in the 1000 meter run.
Moving to Cambridge, Lauren Haddad earned fifth place in the 400 meter run. Amanda Broussard recorded 18th place.
Ella Goulas recorded a second place finish in the triple jump invite. Goulas recorded a mark of 11.73 meters and recorded a fifth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.58 meters.
Georgia Wilson earned first place and set a personal record in the triple jump open with a mark of 11.44 meters.
Ashley Brule recorded a fourth place finish in the pole vault invite with a mark of 3.80 meters. Allyson Humphries won the open pole vault competition with a mark of 3.70 meters, a new personal record.
Kate DeSousa recorded a sixth place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.45 meters.
Jordyn Collins and Marie Kane represented the Black and Gold in the 200 meter dash. Collins recorded 15th place. Marie Kane earned a personal record and recorded 33rd with a time of 26.49.
Josiah Johnson led the men in the 200 meter dash, setting a personal record with a time of 22.65 in 17th place.
Ian Thomas won the open high jump. Thomas' mark of 1.98 meters is a personal record.
Kalen Knott won the pole vault. Knott finished with a mark of 4.90 meters.
Aaron Barnwell recorded a second place finish in the open long jump with a mark of 6.74 meters.
Cooper Conklin won the open weight throw with a mark of 15.75 meters.Â
Freshmen Mike O'Reilly and Darius Smith each finished on the podium in the open shot put. O'Reilly finished with a personal record of 15.28 meters.
Kevin Brooks finished the 400 meter dash in 20th place. Kyle Keyes finished the 500 meter dash in 13th place.
Cole Varner and Jack Hill each set personal records in the 3k. Varner recorded a time of 9:11.02 and finished in 30th place. Hill finished just behind Varner in 32nd place with a time of 9:12.91
