SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The 11th seeded Bryant University men's soccer team will host the Saint Louis Billikens in the third round of the 2025 NCAA Division I men's soccer championship at Beirne Stadium on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. 90 minutes. One ball. One opportunity.
Sunday's Sweet 16 match marks the first appearance in the third round of the tournament in school history. The Black and Gold won their first NCAA tournament match in DI program history last Sunday against Seton Hall, the third home NCAA tournament victory in school history (men's lacrosse 2014 and 2017). The third round of the NCAA tournament is coming to Rhode Island for the first time since 2014.
Bryant currently has a 17-2-2 record on the season and finished the regular season in the top five according to United Soccer Coaches. Bryant men's soccer has been in the thick of the United Soccer Coaches rankings since September when they defeated UMass, 1-0. The Black and Gold started the season with a draw before rattling off 13 consecutive wins, the most in the nation at that time.
Saint Louis enters this contest feeling like dynamite after two consecutive wins on the road against fierce competition. The Billikens started the tournament with an exciting win in double overtime against Kentucky, 2-1. Saint Louis followed that up with an upset victory against sixth seeded Indiana, 1-0.
