Coach Switzer Announces 2024-25 Track and Field Schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Bryant's Director of Cross Country/Track and Field Mitchell Switzer has announced the schedule for the 2024-25 Indoor and Outdoor Season.

The Bulldogs will compete in nine regular season meets throughout the winter and 11 regular season meets in the spring. Multis will kick off the indoor season on December 5-6th at the University of Rhode Island with the URI Pentathlon/Heptathlon. The remainder of the team will start the season off on December 7th at Brown University with the Alden Invitational.

Bryant returns from its holiday break on January 8th and will host the Bryant Indoor Throws Competition at the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center. On January 12th, the Black and Gold will head to Boston to compete in UMass Flagship Indoor Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance. The following week will see the Bulldogs head down to North Kingstown to compete in URI Invitational on January 18th. Bryant will be back at the TRACK on January 24-25th for the Riverhawk Invite hosted by UMass Lowell. 

The Bulldogs will compete in two meets the following weekend, with some members of the team traveling to Boston University for the Terrier Invitational on January 31st and February 1st. The other members of the team will compete in the Wheaton Invite on February 1st. Bryant will compete in their final indoor regular season meet of the year on February 8th at the URI Coaches Invite. The 2025 America East Indoor Championships will be held at Boston University on February 22-23rd.

Bryant will kick off its outdoor season on March 15th in South Carolina at Charleston Southern's Buccaneer Invitational. The Bulldogs will then return home and host the Black and Gold Invitational from March 28-29th. The Black and Gold will remain home the following weekend as they will welcome in fellow Rhode Island colleges for the first annual Ocean State Cup from April 4-5th. 

The following week will see the Bulldogs competing in a number of different meets. Bryant will first head to UMass Amherst on April 9-10th for their multi meet The Minutemen will also host the UMass Commonwealth Invitational on April 13th.The Bulldogs will also have members of their team traveling to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania that weekend to compete in the Bucknell Outdoor Classic from April 11-13th.

The Black and Gold will have a west coast road trip built into their schedule this spring. The team will compete at the Bryan Clay Invite in Azusa, California on April 16-17th as well as the Mt. SAC Relays on April 18-19th. Those not making the trip out west will still have a highly competitive weekend on their hands as they will head to UMass Lowell for the George Davis Invitational on April 18-19th. Bryant will have two meets to close out the month of April. A select group of the team will head to Philadelphia to compete in the historic Penn Relays from April 24-26th. The rest of the Bulldogs will take part in the Pre-Conference Invitational at UMass Amherst.

The 2025 America East Outdoor Championships will be held at the University of New Hampshire from May 2-4th. Following the end of the conference season, the Bulldogs will head to UMass for the 2025 NEICAAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships which will be held from May 9-10th. After New England's, the Black and Gold will look ahead to the ECAC/IC4A Championships at George Mason University on May 16-18th.

The NCAA First Round would be May 28th-31st at UNF, Jacksonville, FL and NCAA Finals are June 11th-14th at the University of Oregon.
