Box Score PRINCETON, N.J. – The Bryant University defense stopped consecutive quarterback sneaks on 3rd-and-1 and 4th-and-1 in overtime, lifting the Bulldogs to a dramatic 16-13 victory over Princeton on a rainy Saturday at Powers Field.
Ethan Gettman's third field goal of the afternoon on Bryant's opening possession of overtime gave the Black and Gold the 16-13 lead. The Tigers then faced 3rd-and-1 from the 16-yard line and attempted to push the quarterback across the line of scrimmage. Bryant's defensive front stopped the play a half-yard shy of a first down. The Tigers then tried the same play again, and Bryant prevailed once more, ending the contest.
Bryant's defense limited the Tigers to just 277 yards of total offense and also forced two turnovers. Jayvis Rayside led the way with eight tackles, Avery Dixon intercepted his first pass as a Bulldog and Bryant recovered a crucial botched snap on a punt in the fourth quarter.
Offensively, Bryant made the most of its 209 yards of total offense. An 11-yard touchdown pass from Zevi Eckhaus to Konor Lathrop was Bryant's lone touchdown of the day and All-American kicker Ethan Gettman did the rest. He tied the single-game record with three field goals, hitting from 40, 38 and 37. His 38-yard field goal with 1:37 left to play tied the game at 13-13, while his 37-yarder in overtime was the game-winner.

How it Happened
- With a minute and a half remaining in the half, the Tigers ran up the middle for a 49-yard rushing TD, breaking the 0-0 tie (6-0),
- At the six-minute mark of the third quarter, Zevi Eckhaus completed consecutive 14 yards to Anthony Frederick to get the Bulldogs to the opponent's 25-yard line. The drive halted, which set up Ethan Gettman, who nailed a 40-yard FG to get the Black and Gold within three (6-3).
- The Tigers drove down the field on a series of WR screens, which was capped off by a five-yard rushing TD (13-3).
- The Bulldogs began their drive with eleven minutes left in the fourth. Eckhaus completed passes to AC White and Gary Cooper for a first down. Then, on 4th & 3, Eckhaus ran the ball and pushed through the Princeton defender to keep the drive alive. The Tigers then received an unsportsmanlike putting the Black and Gold on Princetons 29.
- Cooper hauled in an 11-yard pass for the first down, then Eckhaus rolled out and found Lathrop for the score (13-10).
- Michael Otty sacked the QB on 3rd and long, forcing the Tigers to punt. On the punt, Princeton dropped the ball, which was recovered by Frederick.
- This led to a Bulldog 30-yard FG, drilled by Gettman, tying the game with 1:37 remaining.
- The Black and Gold got the ball to begin OT, which resulted in a 38-yard FG for Gettman (16-13).
- The Tigers ran two plays for a total of nine yards, resulting in a third and one. Then, the Bulldog's defense stuffed them on the next play. Princeton then ran the same formation but was sent back by Otty and Kenny Dyson Jr. to secure the Bryant victory (16-13).
