BRYANT DROPS ROAD GAME TO ARMY ON SATURDAY

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Bryant University football team fell to Army 59-3 on Saturday in New York.

How it Happened
 
  • The Black Knights started on the Bryant 39 after a penalty and scored in five plays on a 16-yard rushing TD (7-0) with 11 minutes left in the first quarter.
  • On Army's next drive, they drove 72 yards and scored on a 27-yard rushing TD (14-0) with eight minutes left in the first quarter.
  • The Black Knights tallied a third touchdown just before the end of the first quarter on a 37-yard rush (21-0).
  • Army scored a fourth touchdown on a reverse play with 7:24 remaining in the first half (28-0).
  • The Bulldogs had their best drive of the half that started on their own 25-yard line. Jordan Bennett started it with back-to-back runs, picking up a first down. The Bulldogs got into the red zone off of a 24-yard throw from Brennan Myer to Keylijah Williams up the middle of the field. Bryant was stopped, leading to a 22-yard field goal for Nicholas Stoyanovich with 2:30 left in the first half (28-3).
  • Army would hit a 37-yard field goal with under a minute left before halftime (31-3).
  • To begin the third quarter, the Black Knights ran to the outside for a 66-yard touchdown (38-3).
