Box Score HAPMPTON, VA. – Brennan Myer recorded three total touchdowns and Shamar Fowles posted 112 receiving yards and a touchdown as the Bryant University football team opened CAA play with a 31-3 victory over Hampton Saturday night. 
 
With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 2-1 on the season. Bryant opens its home schedule next Saturday as it welcomes Princeton on Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM at Beirne Stadium. 

The Bulldogs' defense held Hampton to three points and has not allowed a touchdown in two games against FCS opponents as the Black and Gold earned the conference opening victory.
 
Kendrick Agenor and Sean Wilson Jr. also found the end zone.

How it Happened

• Hampton would produce a 12-play drive that was stopped by the Bulldogs in the red zone, holding the Pirates to a field goal (3-0) with just under four minutes remaining in the first quarter.
• Kendrick Agenor led the next drive, tallying 38 scrimmage yards, and OJ Ross produced 20 scrimmage yards, moving the Bulldogs down the field. This led to a 13-yard touchdown reception for Sean Wilson Jr. just before the end of the opening quarter (7-3).
• Shamar Fowles took a screen pass on second and ten and sprinted down the field for a 60-yard touchdown (14-3) with six minutes remaining in the first half.
• Before the end of the half, the Bulldogs drove down the field on an eight-play drive, setting up Nicholas Stoyanovich for a career-long 46-yard field goal (17-3).
• The Bulldogs began the series in Pirates territory after a short punt. Jordan Bennett got a first down immediately, getting Bryant in the red zone. After a couple of plays on third down. Brennan Myer took the ball to the left and beat the defender to the goal line for a rushing touchdown (24-3) with ten minutes left in the third quarter.
• The Black and Gold registered a dominating 15-play, 74-yard drive that saw Fowles on fourth and 18 keep the drive going with a 20-yard reception; this got the Bulldogs within the five-yard line, setting up Agenor for the touchdown (31-3) with 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

• Myer completed 15-of-29 for 216 yards and two touchdowns. He added a rushing touchdown and 25 yards on six carries.
• Fowles tallied 112 yards on four receptions, including a 60-yard touchdown.
