BOSTON -- Bryant baseball senior
Kaden Hilburger was named the America East Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Hilburger earns his second weekly honor following a dominant start at NJIT in which he tossed 8.0 shutout innings in a 4-0 Bryant victory. He scattered seven hits, didn't walk a batter and struck out three.
The Yorktown, Va., native has now pitched at least 8.0 innings in each of his last three starts, the first Bulldog to do so since Peter Kelich in 2022. Hilburger started the stretch with 8.0 innings at Binghamton and followed that with 8.0 more at UMass Lowell two weeks ago. On Friday, Hilburger was dialed in from the get-go as he stymied the Highlanders over 8.0 scoreless. On the year, Hilburger is 3-2 with a 4.25 ERA, 38 strikeouts and just 15 walks in 59.1 innings.
