FIELD HOCKEY ANNOUNCES 2026 SCHEDULE

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant field hockey announced its 2026 schedule on Tuesday, a 17-game schedule that includes home games with regional powers Providence, Boston U and Brown.

The Bulldogs will be under the direction of second-year head coach Kellie Joyce and will welcome the return of 18 players from the 2025 team, including double-digit point scorers Callie Caito and Megan Smith and the goaltending duo of Sara DeSousa and Maud van Lierop.

Schedule Highlights
  • Bryant will play 10 home games, the fourth-straight year it has hosted double-digit games at Steven '69 and Lily Cowen Field.
  • The Black and Gold will host Boston U for the first time in program history when the Terriers visit Smithfield on Sept. 18.
  • Bryant's non-conference home games also feature Providence, Towson, Brown and LIU.
  • The Bulldogs will host Maine and New Hampshire in America East play.
Bryant opens the season on the road with games at Quinnipiac (Aug. 28) and Hofstra (Aug. 30) before opening at Cowen Field the first weekend of September against Merrimack (Sept. 4) and Providence (Sept. 6).

The games against the Warriors and Friars will start a stretch in which Bryant will play 5-of-6 at home. A trip of 146 to face Holy Cross (Sept. 13) is followed by a home weekend with Boston U (Sept. 18) and Sacred Heart (Sept. 20). The Terriers are coming off a Patriot League title and will be playing in Smithfield for the first time ever.

Bryant opens the month of October and America East play at UMass Lowell (Oct. 2). The weekend also includes a Sunday afternoon matchup with in-state rival Brown (Oct. 4). Bryant will head to defending league champion UAlbany on Oct. 9 and close out the weekend with Towson (Oct. 11). The first meeting with Towson in program history starts a three-game homestand that sees Maine (Oct. 16) and LIU (Oct. 18) come to Cowen Field.

The Black and Gold take a weekend trip to Vermont (Oct. 23) and Dartmouth (Oct. 25) before closing out the regular season at home against New Hampshire on Oct. 29.

The 2026 America East Field Hockey Championships are scheduled to begin on Sunday, November 1.
