SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant field hockey announced seniors Claire Joss and Callie Caito, and junior Maud van Lierop as captains for the upcoming 2026 season.

Bryant is slated to begin its 28th varsity season on August 28 against former NEC foe Quinnipiac. 

Claire Joss - Senior | Dundee, Scotland

• Serving as team captain for the second-straight year.
• Has appeared in 44 games (37 starts) over three seasons in Smithfield.
• Coming off her most productive season in which she posted two goals and two assists for six points.
• Played 1,132 minutes, a career high.

Callie Caito - Senior | Whitinsville, Mass.

• Named to the Preseason All-America East team.
• Bryant's leading returning scorer with 25 points (10g, 5a) in 50 career games.
• Posted a career-high six goals and 13 points on her way to Second Team All-America East honors last fall.

Maud van Lierop - Junior | Valkenswaard, Netherlands

• Has appeared in 30 games over first two seasons in Smithfield.
• Posted the first three shutouts of her career last fall.
• Averaged just under 5.0 saves per game last season and averaging 4.3 saves per game in her career.
