COACH KOKOSKI ADDS ABBY VAMPATELLA TO STAFF

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Bryant University women's basketball head coach Lynne-Ann Kokoski announced the addition of Abby Vampatella to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

"We are very excited to add Abby to our women's basketball staff. Throughout our conversations, she showed she is a brilliant young mind in our game and that she is eager to continue to learn", Kokoski said. "Most importantly, her values align with our culture, and she supports our mission to compete for championships in the America East."

Vampatella spent last season as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Niagara. Prior to her time with Niagara, she spent four years at UNC Greensboro as the Director of Recruiting, Director of Player Development, and a Graduate Manager for the Spartans.

As the director of recruiting, Vampatella was crucial to recruiting efforts, helping to sign players like Nya Smith, who earned rookie of the year, 6th Player of the Year, and a First Team All-Conference honors during her career. The Spartans were the 2024-25 SoCon Regular Season and Tournament champions for the first time in 28 years and ranked 3rd in the country in scoring defense.

Before working with the UNCG, Vampatella played basketball at Gordon College, where she was also the vice president for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
