SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Head coach Lynne-Ann Kokoski of the Bryant University women's basketball team announced that Nia Scott, Martina Boba, and Mia Mancini will be the team captains for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

"Naming our captains this year was incredibly meaningful because these three are players who have been here from day one", said coach Kokoski. "It's rare for college basketball players to play their entire career at the same place now. Their loyalty and belief in what we are doing mean more to me than I can put into words. They've earned the right to lead this team, and I'm incredibly proud and grateful to have them as our captains".

The trio of seniors enters their fourth season in Smithfield. In three seasons, they have compiled a 50-42 record, made the postseason every year, advanced to the America East semifinals for the first time in program history, and hosted an NIT game for the first time in DI program history. They also recorded the first-ever win over a Power Four school, defeating Boston College 80-71 last season.

Individually, they have accumulated eight All-America East selections, and Mancini was named the AE Rookie of the Year as a freshman.

The Bulldogs will begin the 2026-27 season on November 2nd in the Chace Athletic Center against MIT.
