BOSTON, MASS. - Bryant women's basketball seniors Nia Scott and Mia Mancini were named to the America East Preseason All-Conference team by the organization on Monday morning.

Scott and Mancini both enter their fourth season in Smithfield and were both named to the All-America East Third Team last season. Scott tallied 11 double-doubles, 20 games of 10+ points, and 12 games of 10+ boards, while averaging 11.8 ppg and 8.7 rpg. She also had four 20+ point games, including two that tied her career high of 25. Scott has been selected to an All-Conference team in each of her three seasons with the Bulldogs.

Mancini had 19 games of 10+ points and three games of 20+ points, including tying her career-high of 28 points in the first-ever win over a Power Four program against Boston College last season. This was her third consecutive season shooting 30%+ from beyond the arc, and she posted a career-best 3.9 AST/G. Mancini also became the eighth player in DI program history to reach 1,000 career points. Mancini has made an All-Conference team every season, including her freshman season when she was named the America East Rookie of the Year.

The Bulldogs were selected fifth in the preseason poll, behind first-place Binghamton (6), UMBC (2), Vermont (1), and Maine. NJIT was selected sixth, followed by UAlbany, UNH, and UMass Lowell.

The Black and Gold are coming off their third consecutive season of 15+ wins, eight conference wins, and an AE playoff appearance. Bryant will begin the season on November 2nd as they welcome MIT to the Chace Athletic Center for a 5:00 pm tip.
