SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Maddy Wachter of the Bryant University softball team was named to the NFCA East All-Region Third Team by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
Wachter is the sixth Bulldog in DI program history and the first since 2016 to earn a spot on the All-Region Team.

Wachter finished the regular season with a 2.95 ERA, 11-4 record, 11 complete games, and held opponents to a batting average of .241, which were all career bests. She was named the America East Pitcher of the Year, First, and All-Academic teams. 

In conference play, Wachter went 7-1, with a 2.73 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP, six complete games, and two shutouts, while holding opponents to a .209 batting average.
