BOSTON -- Bryant women's lacrosse junior Kaelynn O'Brien was named the America East Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

O'Brien picks up her sixth defensive player of the week honor after posting five caused turnovers, four ground balls and two draw controls in Bryant's 12-7 win over Binghamton.

The Black and Gold earned the No. 3 seed in this week's America East Women's Lacrosse Championship and will face No. 2 seed UAlbany on Friday night (7:00 p.m.) in Burlington, Vt.
