THE SERIES
- Bryant is 3-1 all-time against UMBC.
- The Bulldogs and Retrievers met twice in 2025. UMBC earned a 17-9 victory in the regular season, while Bryant exacted revenge with a 12-9 victory in the America East Semifinals.
- In the semifinals, UMBC built a 7-3 lead at the break but the Bulldogs outscored UMBC 9-2 in the final 30 minutes to advance to the championship round.
- Gabriella Constant scored the game-tying and game-winning goals, while Riley O'Mara tacked on two late insurance goals.
AMERICA EAST PLAYOFF PICTURE
- This weekend's matchups include Bryant hosting UMBC, Vermont hosting UAlbany and New Hampshire hosting UMass Lowell.
- Bryant can clinch a postseason berth with a victory. The Bulldogs are also still in play for the No. 1 seed and hosting rights based off the possibility of a three-way tie.
- That possibility can only occur if Vermont is able to defeat undefeated UAlbany on Saturday. A UAlbany win would secure the regular season title and hosting rights for the Great Danes.
NOTES AND NOTABLES
- Bryant enters Saturday with a 8-6 overall record and a 3-1 record in America East.
- The Bulldogs dropped a 9-8 heartbreaker to UAlbany last Saturday. Bryant trailed by three with under five minutes left before RIley O'Mara potted a pair to make things interesting.
- Bryant had two chances to tie but were unable to convert.
- Gabriella Constant enters the weekend first on the team with 41 goals. She has been held to just one goal in each of the last two weeks.
- Emily DeGeorge picked up two more goals and now has 36 goals and six assists on the season. She has posted 18 points (15g, 3a) in America East play.
- Kaelynn O'Brien continues to pace the defensive effort with 32 ground balls, 37 caused turnovers and 35 draw controls. O'Brien ranks 11th nationally in caused turnovers per game.
- Jessica Tosone is enjoying a career year with 34 ground balls, 34 caused turnovers and 32 draw controls. She has posted seven ground balls, seven caused turnovers and four draw controls combined in her last two games.
- O'Brien and Tosone rank 1-2 in the America East in ground balls and caused turnovers in AE games.
- Ashling Marshall has scored in each of the last eight games, posting 12 goals in the span.
- With two goals at UAlbany, Riley O'Mara now has 26 on the year. She has scored nine goals (3.00 per game) over the last three.
