SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant women's lacrosse team picked up the dominant 22-6 win on Saturday afternoon, taking down the UMBC Retrievers at Beirne Stadium.
Prior to the game, the Bulldogs honored their 9 seniors including
Kelly Morrison,

Jessica Tosone,
Riley O'Mara,
Emily DeGeorge,
Kelly Ford,
Izzy Planchet,
Ava Bartoli, and
Isabella Cardi.
With the win, Bryant moves to 9-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Bulldogs clinched a spot into the America East postseason for the second consecutive season. Bryant closes out the regular season at Binghamton next Saturday.
Gabriella Constant led the offensive attack for the Bulldogs, scoring five goals. She now has 46 goals through 15 games this season and has recorded eight hat tricks.
Emily DeGeorge tallied four goals for the Bulldogs. DeGeorge now has 40 goals in 14 games this season and has recorded eight hat tricks.

- Bryant jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs raced out to a 5-0 lead in the opening frame. Kaelynn O'Brien caused a turnover and dished it to Constant, who opened the scoring. Ashling Marshall tallied a pair and Leyna Schentzer got on the board. Then, DeGeorge capitalized on the woman-up, making it 5-0 Bryant and forcing a UMBC timeout.
- Bryant then took the 6-0 lead off a free position goal from Rylee Slate.
- The Retrievers offense countered with two goals to cut the deficit to 6-2. The Bulldogs responded with two from Constant and DeGeorge, going up 8-2 after the first quarter.
- Bryant picked up right where they left off in the second quarter. Elise Larsen fed a beautiful pass in front to Riley O'Mara who cashed in, making it 9-2 Bulldogs.
- Constant completed the hat trick, rocketing a shot into the left side off a feed from Schnetzer. She wouldn't stop there, adding her fourth tally to put Bryant up 11-3.
- The Retrievers added two goals to close out the first half. The Bulldogs took the 11-5 lead into the halftime break.
- Bryant outscored UMBC 3-1 in the third quarter. DeGeorge completed the hat trick to start the frame, capitalizing off a dish from Sophia Fruci. Larsen then fed O'Mara in front for her second tally. Marshall recorded the hat trick to put Bryant ahead 14-6, a lead they held entering the fourth quarter.
- The Bulldogs outscored the Retrievers 8-0 in the fourth quarter, highlighted by first career goals from Sydnee Denson (2), Jessica Wilhelm, and Kelly Morrison.
