CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Bryant track and field team opened the 2026 outdoor season with the Buccaneer Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern University.
Madison Guerrera recorded the all-time school record in the 100m hurdles. Guerrera is the first Bryant women's student-athlete to record a sub-15 second time in the 100m hurdles. Guerrera recorded a time of 14.70 seconds and earned first place. Additionally, Guerrera earned first place and a personal record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:09.19.
Jalena Martin earned a first-place finish in the 100 meter dash. Martin secured the top spot with a time of 12.25 seconds. Jordyn Collins finished narrowly behind her, however, Collins flipped the script in the 200m, recording a time of 25.12 seconds.
Lauren Haddad earned a first-place finish in the 800 meter run. Emma Guadagnoli, Ava Burl and Emma Nadolski rounded out the top four.
The Bulldogs took the top three spots in the long jump. Amanda Kalinowski won the competition with a mark of 5.20 meters. Sarina Sanders and Dasani Stewart earned second and third, respectively.
Shelby Anderson won the javelin throw with a mark of 42.58 meters. Panayiota Anastos earned a personal record in the discus throw with a mark of 39.90 meters.
Isabel Berardino earned a personal record in the 2000m steeplechase. Berardino recorded a time of 7:04.42.
Chloe Whiting won the 5000 meter run with a time of 16:38.87. Kelley MacElhiney earned second place and recorded a personal record in the same event with a time of 16:55.97.
The women's 4x400m relay squad earned first place. Ava Burl, Emma Guadagnoli, Emma Nadolski and Kayla Ondy finished with a time of 4:11.01.
Moving to the men, Nathan Miller earned a first-place finish in the 200 meter sprint with a time of 21.84 seconds. Additionally, Miller earned a second-place finish in the 100 meter sprint.
Justin Shiffrin earned first place in the 5000m run with a time of 14:58.36.
Ryan Bourke recorded a personal record in the men's 800 meter dash, earning second place with a time of 1:53.89.
Kyle Keyes earned second place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.67 seconds.
Ian Thomas earned second place in the long jump with a mark of 6.65 meters.
Matthew Henricksen earned third place in the discus throw. Darius Smith recorded a personal record in the discus throw, recording fifth place with a mark of 41.76 meters.
