MEN'S SOCCER RANKED NO. 6 IN RECENT COACHES POLL

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Bryant University men's soccer team earned the No. 6 spot on the NCAA DI rankings according to United Soccer Coaches.

The Bulldogs bounced back with a 2-1 win over NJIT and a 2-0 win over New Hampshire to close out the regular season. Paco Fernandez and Jaime Amaro each scored a goal in the first half to lift the Bulldogs to the No. 2 seed in the America East Championships. 

The Black and Gold finish the regular season having only allowed eight goals, the fourth fewest in DI soccer. Their goal differential of +29 is the best in the conference and the fourth best in the nation. The Bulldogs' 15-1-2 record is the second-best winning percentage in DI soccer. Additionally, Bryant's 11 shutouts this season are tied for the second-most in DI soccer. 10 different Bulldogs have scored goals this season.

Enzo Carvalho's save percentage of 82% is the best in the America East. Carvalho's eight shutouts are the second-most in the America East.

Abdel Talabi is the only Bulldog to start every game of the regular season. The defender has three goals and two assists on the season so far.

Paco Fernandez scored three goals in the last two matches to add to his total of six this season. Fernandez scored the fifth-most goals in the America East and his three game-winning goals are tied for the third-most in the conference.

Mamadi Jiana's 21 shots on goal are the second-most in the conference. Jiana's five goals this season are tied for the sixth-most in the conference.

Fermin Rodriguez has four assists and two goals for the Black and Gold this season, most recently getting an assist against the Highlanders. Rodriguez has the third-most assists on the team.

Jaime Amaro leads the America East in goals (10), assists (7), points (27) and game-winning goals (4). Amaro has tied the school record for most assists in a season. Amaro is one goal away from tying the school record for most goals in a single season and one point away from tying the school record for most points in a season. Amaro's 10 goals are 14th most in DI soccer.

Marc Pitarch Bayot became Bryant's all-time points leader following a goal against Binghamton. Pitarch Bayot is one assist from tying the school record with Amaro for most assists in a single season. Pitarch Bayot's six assists are the second-most in the America East.
