INDIANAPOLIS – College Sports Communicators announced its Men's Soccer 2025 Academic All-District teams on Tuesday. Four Bryant Bulldogs are included amongst those being recognized for their outstanding achievements.
Graduate student
Santiago Blasco Gomez, senior
Jorge Veintimilla, graduate student
Marc Pitarch Bayot and senior
Christien Merritt earned the honor through maintaining a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale while starting in 66% or playing in 90% of the team's games.
Merritt maintained his strong academic status while being a key piece of the season's starting lineup on the defensive side.
Pitarch Bayot wrote his name in the Bryant record books this season, finishing the campaign with three goals and six assists, efforts that pushed him to 62 points in his career at Bryant, the most in school history. Pitarch Bayot finished the season with the second-most assists in the America East.
Blasco Gomez and Veintimilla both performed valiantly as facilitators in the midfield for the Black and Gold this season. Veintimilla recorded three assists and Blasco Gomez recorded two goals and an assist for the Bulldogs this season.
