Bulldog Notes and Notables
- Bryant opened its season last weekend at UCF but was only able to play one game due to heavy rain. The Bulldogs fell 12-11 on Opening Day.
- The Bulldogs had a 6-3 lead before UCF scored eight times in the sixth. Bryant would rally to tie the game in the 8th before a UCF sac fly in the bottom of the eighth provided the final margin.
- Gavin Noriega came out swinging for Bryant, collecting three hits and two home runs in his 2024 debut. He homered in back-to-back at-bats in the 7th and 8th inning.
- Gavin Greger and Justin Hackett also collected three hits for the Bulldogs in the opener.
- For Greger, it marked his collegiate debut.
- Bryant did have a couple more offensive highlights in game two of the series before Mother Nature nullified them. Carmine Petosa hit a grand slam and Ryan Santangelo hit a three-run home run before rain suspended the game before it had become official.
