ORLANDO – Mother Nature took the opening weekend series between Bryant and UCF, 2-1, as continued rain showers forced the cancelation of the final two games between the Bulldogs and Knights.
Bryant fell 12-11 on Opening Night on Friday before rain delayed the start of game two five hours on Saturday. The Bulldogs grabbed an 8-7 lead in the top of the fifth before more rain caused the game to be suspended to Sunday. More rain then caused the cancelation of the final two games.
The Black and Gold are back on the diamond next Friday (Feb. 24) when they start a three-game series with George Washington.
