SMITHFIELD, R.I. – First pitch for the 2025 season is just 74 days away and Bryant baseball head coach announced the Bulldogs' 56-game slate on Monday afternoon.
Bryant, the defending America East Champions, opens its sixth season under Klosterman on February 14 with a three-game series at Davidson. The Bulldogs' first home game of 2025 is scheduled for February 25.
The Black and Gold will play their first four weekends of the season on the road, facing two programs from the A-10 (Davidson and Dayton), one from the CAA (Delaware) and one from the Big 12 (UCF).
Bryant returns to Davidson for the third time in four seasons and is 3-5 all-time against the Wildcats. The Bulldogs earned their first-ever sweep of an A-10 school in 2023, earning 6-5, 15-5 and 11-1 wins over Davison.
The Black and Gold then return to Orlando and hope for better weather when they take on UCF. Last season, Bryant opened the season against the Knights but only played one full game as rain showers forced the cancelation of the remaining two games. Bryant dropped the opener, 12-11, and had an 8-7 lead in game two before the suspension.
Bryant will then look set a new record for the earliest home game in program history as it scheduled to host Merrimack on Feb. 25. Last season, Bryant hosted Stonehill on Feb. 27.
The Bulldogs will then sandwich another home with Merrimack (Mar. 4) between weekend trips to Delaware and Dayton. Bryant is 7-2 all-time vs Delaware, with all nine games being played between 2014-18. The Black and Gold won 3-of-4 in Newark in 2018, with Mickey Gasper (MLB) and Ryan Ward (AAA) combining to go 8-for-9 with three RBI and four runs scored in the series finale.
Bryant will then make its first trip to the state of Ohio since 2013 when it faces the Flyers. The Bulldogs spent their spring break in Ohio in 2013, playing four games in Dayton (2 vs Dayton, 2 vs Wright State) before heading to Xavier for a midweek and wrapping up with a weekend at Ohio State. Bryant won both games against Dayton in 2013 but the Flyers picked up a pair of wins over the Bulldogs in 2020.
The Bulldogs will then return to face Rhode Island in Kingston on Mar. 11 before opening a season-long nine-game homestand the following day vs Northeastern. The remainder of the homestand includes a three-game series with Brown, Bryant's first game vs Harvard since 2011 and the first America East series of the season vs UAlbany. Bryant closes out the stretch vs rival Sacred Heart on Mar. 25.
Bryant then hits the road for eight of its next nine, beginning with a three-game series at UMass Lowell (Mar. 28-30). The Bulldogs will also face Brown (Apr. 1) before hosting New Haven on Apr. 4. Bryant will then head to regional rival UConn on Apr. 8 and closes its stretch with a league series at Binghamton (Apr. 11-13).
The Black and Gold return to Conaty Park for four games before closing out April on the road. Bryant will host URI (Apr. 15) and UMass Lowell (Apr. 18-19) on Easter weekend before hitting the road. The Bulldogs will head to Sacred Heart (Apr. 23), UAlbany (Apr. 25-27) and Stonehill (Apr. 30).
Bryant opens May with a pair of home league series against Maine (May 2-4) and NJIT (May 9-11) sandwiched around a midweek trip to Merrimack (May 6).
The Bulldogs' final home game is scheduled for May 13 vs Stonehill and the regular season concludes at UMBC (May 15-17) for the second-straight year.
The 2025 America East Baseball Championships are scheduled for May 21-24 in Orono, Maine.
