STATESBORO, GA. - Kylie Kenney pitches a complete game shutout striking out two in the Bryant University softball teams' 1-0 victory against Long Island in the third game at the Bash at the Boro.

The Bulldogs fell to the Eagles 5-2 in the fourth game.

"Phenomenal effort from Kylie today. She really kept their hitters off balance in game 1. Offensively we got runners on all day just couldn't bring enough of them in during game 2 to take that one, but overall, a good day for us".

 Key Moment (GM1)

• The Sharks had two runners on base with two outs in the top of the seventh inning before Kenney forced a pop out, sealing the victory and the shutout.

How it Happened (GM1)

• Jenna Gardner hit a single down the left field line with one out in the bottom of the third. Aleix Hudson then hit a single to advance Gardner to third, which set up Megan Marcel, who hit an RBI double down the left-field line.

• Kenney pitched seven innings, striking out two and holding LIU to five hits.

How it Happened (GM2)

• Marcel got a leadoff walk, which was followed by a Madison Fitzgerald single. The Eagles pitcher then threw a wild pitch, which advanced the runners to second and third. Hannah Cochran then ripped a double down the left field line clearing the bases (2-0).
• The Eagles tied the game on a Bulldog error and an RBI single in the bottom of the second (2-2).
• Georgia Southern took a one-run lead on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third (3-2).
• The Eagles scored the game's final two runs on a single through the right side of the infield (5-2).
