GAME ONE OF CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
WITH LE MOYNE NOW SCHEDULED FOR 11AM
May 4, 2008
Syracuse, NY- Because of inclement weather overnight in central
New York, the Bulldogs' Sunday Championship Series with Le Moyne
will begin at 11am, two hours later than the 9am
scheduled time.
The Bulldogs, after defeating Stonehill and Southern
Connecticut, will face the top seed and tournament host Le Moyne
Dolphins in a best of three championship series. The Dolphins took
care of St. Rose and Pace to reach the championship series.
The Bulldogs are looking for their first Northeast-10 Conference
Tournament championship since 2006 when the Bulldogs defeated
UMass-Lowell in Smithfield, RI.
The Dolphins figure to see plenty of Janine Enos
(Wareham, Mass.) in the circle. The senior pitcher was
named NE-10 Pitcher of the Year and has a 17-5 record on the year
with a 1.19 ERA. Enos took both wins in the circle yesterday, and
is a veteran of the NE-10 Tournament.
The Bulldogs' offense is also emerging. Sophomore Ali
Chouinard (Swansea, Mass.) knocked a walk-off home run to
beat Southern Connecticut and is batting a robust .533 in her last
nine games. Over that span the Bulldogs, who have struggled
offensively this year, are hitting .308 as a team. Thomas (.481),
Anne Dobmeier (Buffalo, NY) (.433), and
Jessica Valentini (Cliffside Park, NJ) (.417) have
also been hot in the batter's box. Over that same nine game span,
Enos is 4-1 with a 0.70 ERA and three shutouts.
The Dolphins finished the NE-10 regular season 27-1 and are led
by newly crowned Player of the Year Sarah Reed who is hitting .476
with 7 HR and 52 RBI . Freshman pitcher Jenna Vannacore who is 12-0
with a 1.36 ERA and Reed is 13-2 herself in the circle.

to the NCAA Regionals. This year's Northeast Regional will begin
this Wednesday in Brookville, NY on the campus of C.W. Post.
