SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant cross country team competed in the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Saturday, September 19. The women's team finished third in both the Gold 6K and Navy 6K races, with 107 and 87 points respectively. The men's team finished ninth in the Gold 8K with 221 points.  

In the Gold 6K race, Natalie Persson, finished first overall with a time of 21:20.29. Right behind her was Kelley MacElhiney, who finished second with a time of 21:24.33. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Isabel Berardino, who finished 26^th with a time of 22:23.42, Norah Puleo in 38^th with a time of 22:39.41, and Emma Nadolski in 40^th with a time of 22:41.87.

In the Navy 6K race, Ava Burl finished fourth overall (23:25.88) to lead the Bryant runners.  Adriana Spinelli finished seventh overall with a time of 23:37.48. Also scoring for Bryant were Annabelle Lynch (eighth, 23:41.35), Mia Bettez (22^nd, 24:24.19). 

On the men's side, Seb Melero led the way for the Bulldogs in the Gold 8K, finishing 11^th overall with a time of 25:02.86. Andrew McConnell finished 19^th overall with a time of 25:11.97. Also scoring for Bryant were Jack Moir (25:55.77) in 51^st, Andrew Simard (26:12.55, 64^th), and Jack Hill (26:35.71, 88^th).
Bryant heads to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Friday, October 2 to the 52^nd Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.
