SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant cross country team hosted the 25^th running of the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational on campus Saturday, September 12. The women's team won the event with 33 points, while the men's team finished third with 73 points.  

The women were led by Kelley MacElhiney, who finished second overall with a time of 18:08.2. Isabel Berardino finished fifth overall with a personal best time of 18:31.9. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Emma Guadagnoli (18:41.5), Nikki Kroon (18:44.7), and Emma Nadolski (18:44.7), who finished seventh, ninth, and tenth respectively. Guadagnoli, Kroon, and Nadolski all posted personal bests with their times.

Outside the top five, the Bulldogs featured four runners who finished in the top 25 overall. Norah Puleo finished 13^th with a personal best of 18:51.2, followed by Ava Burl (19:06, personal best) in 22^nd, Adriana Spinelli (19:14.2, personal best) in 24^th, and Annabelle Lynch (19:18.5) in 25^th.

On the men's side, Seb Melero led the way for the Bulldogs, finishing seventh overall with a time of 15:29.9. Andrew McConnell set a personal best with his time of 15:39.7, finishing ninth overall. Also scoring for Bryant were Jack Moir (15:47.4, personal best) in 13^th, Andrew Simard (16:16.4), and Ryan Bourke (16:20.4, personal best).

Bryant heads to North Dartmouth, Massachusetts next Saturday, September 19 to the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational.
