- Kaden Hilburger will make his 11th start of the year on Friday and is 1-2 with a 4.78 ERA in 43.1 innings. He has allowed 37 hits, walked 14 and struck out 29. Hilburger owns a 4.21 ERA in five America East starts. He threw his first-career complete game last Friday at Binghamton, allowing four runs on six hits over 8.0 innings. Hilburger has allowed three runs or less in eight of his 10 starts on the year.
- Ty Davis will make his fifth-straight conference start and will look to rebound from a rocky outing last Saturday at Binghamton. Davis allowed seven runs on six hits, walked three and struck out two over 4.0+ innings. Outside of that outing, Davis has been strong, allowing three runs or less in his three other conference starts.
- Bryant's game three starter is listed as TBD. Last week, Cole Schiff served as a sort of opener, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings against Binghamton. It marked his longest outing of the season. Schiff has recorded scoreless outings in three of his last four appearances.
- UMass Lowell features several veteran options on its weekend staff led by junior Alfred Mucciarone. The righty is 2-3 with a 4.83 ERA in 50.1 innings. He has allowed 63 hits, walked just 12 and struck out 36. Mucciarone's last four outings are a mixed bag that includes a dominant nine-inning complete game against Maine as well as last week's outing at UMBC in which he allowed 10 runs on nine hits over 3.1 innings. He has faced Bryant three times in his career, throwing 11.2 innings. Last year, he allowed five runs on four hits and struck out four over 4.0 innings in his first start before allowing 12 runs (10 earned) on 10 hits in 3.0 innings. Mucciarone has walked just one batter in those three starts and UML is 2-1 in his three outings.
- Jette is 1-5 with a 8.02 ERA, 44 hits, 17 walks and 24 strikeouts in 33.2 innings. He has made 47 appearances in his career but has faced the Black and Gold only once, pitching in relief in 2023. This season, Jette has allowed four runs or less in each of his last four starts. In that span, Jette has walked just four and struck out 14. He has thrown at least 6.0 innings in two of those four starts.
- UML also has a TBD on Sunday. Josh Doney made his first start of the season last weekend at UMBC, allowing five runs on six hits over 4.0 innings. He earned the nod thanks to a five-appearance stretch in which he allowed three runs on four hits over 6.2 innings.
