COLONIA, N.J. – Senior
Olivia Hillman was named the ECC Bowler of the Year and
Morgan Walsh was named the ECC Coach of the Year, the league announced on Thursday afternoon.
This marks the first time in program history that a Bulldog has received Bowler of the Year.
It marks the second time that Walsh has received Coach of the Year. She has won the award in two out of the last three seasons.
Hillman also appears on the All-Conference First Team, joined by senior
Laura Clark and junior
Madison Damer.
Freshman
Madison Lewis was selected to the All-Conference Second Team.
Olivia Hillman | ECC Bowler of the Year, First Team All-ECC
- Hillman becomes the first player in program history to win Bowler of the Year.
- She is now a two-time All-ECC selection. She was named to the All-ECC Second Team last season. This is the first time she has been named to the All-ECC First Team in her career.
- Hillman won ECC Bowler of the Week five times this season.
- She led the team in traditional and baker format, scoring 20.03 per frame in traditional and 20.84 in baker.
Laura Clark | First Team All-ECC
- Clark earned First Team All-ECC honors for the third consecutive season.
- She ranks second on the team in traditional format, scoring 19.41 per frame. She ranks third in baker format, scoring 19.28 per frame.
- Clark won ECC Bowler of the Week twice this season.
Madison Damer | First Team All-ECC
- Damer earned All-ECC honors for the first time in her career.
- She ranks second on the team in baker format, scoring 19.35 per frame.
Madison Lewis | Second Team All-ECC
- Lewis earned All-ECC honors in her rookie season with the Bulldogs.
- She scored 18.96 per frame in traditional format and 18.90 in baker format.
- Lewis was named ECC Rookie of the Week three times this season.
Morgan Walsh | ECC Coach of the Year
- Walsh led the Bulldogs to their best regular season in program history with a 55-32 record.
- The Bulldogs finished in first place in the ECC for the first time in program history.
- The Bulldogs received their first-ever national ranking this season. They came in at No. 20 in the National Tenpin Coaches Association December poll. Then, they were ranked No. 24 in the February poll. In the latest poll, Bryant received their highest ranking in program history, coming in at No. 18.
- The Bulldogs collected 13 wins over ranked opponents this season.
The Bulldogs aim for their first-ever ECC conference championship this weekend. They'll be competing Saturday-Sunday in Hackensack, NJ at Bowler City Lanes.
