O'BRIEN WINS FOURTH AMERICA EAST DPOW HONOR

BOSTON -- Bryant women's lacrosse junior Kaelynn O'Brien was named the America East Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, the league office announced.

O'Brien picks up her fourth weekly honor of the season after helping the Bulldogs open America East play with an 8-7 win over Vermont. She finished with four ground balls, two caused turnovers and one draw control.

The Lynbrook, N.Y., native ranks sixth nationally with 3.33 caused turnovers per game. O'Brien has won defensive player of the week honors each of the last two weeks and three of the last four.

Bryant returns to the field on Tuesday night as it faces in-state rival Brown in Providence. First draw is set for 7:30 p.m.
