SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant baseball sophomore
Michael Belcher has been ranked among the top 200 starting pitchers in collegiate baseball by D1Baseball.com, the outlet announced on Thursday.
The reigning America East Rookie of the Year, Belcher is ranked No. 174 and is the only starting pitcher from the America East ranked in the top 200.
A native of Prospect, Conn., Belcher went 3-1 with a 4.52 ERA, 60 strikeouts and just 18 walks in 65.2 innings as a true freshman in 2025. After pitching on Saturday's for the first seven weeks of the season, Belcher shifted to Bryant's Friday starter at Binghamton April 11. The Black and Gold responded by winning each of his final six regular season starts on its way to a second-straight America East Regular Season title. Belcher allowed three runs or less in seven of his 13 starts on the year.
Bryant is set to open its season on Friday, February 13 at Davidson.
