BOSTON, Mass. - Bryant University women's volleyball freshman
Kalia Alvarado has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
The honor comes after Alvarado posted a double-double with a career-high 21 digs and a career-high 16 kills in Bryant's thrilling 3-2 win over Binghamton on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The San Juan, Puerto Rico, native has registered 159 digs and 90 kills so far this season, ranking third and fifth on the Bulldogs, respectively.
Bryant faces Holy Cross tonight, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. at Hart Center Arena. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
