WORCESTER, Mass. - The Bryant University women's volleyball team was swept by Holy Cross, 3-0, in its final non-conference match of the 2026 season at the Hart Center Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The Bulldogs moved to 8-13 (2-1 America East) while the Crusaders advanced to 8-11 (1-5 Patriot League).
Kalia Alvarado paced Bryant with seven kills while
Carrina Barron led the Bulldogs with 17 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SET 1- Holy Cross, 25-20
- After Alvarado blasted a kill to give Bryant a 6-5 edge, the Crusaders reeled off six straight points to pull ahead 11-6, prompting a Bulldogs timeout.
- Holy Cross grew its advantage to as much as 18-10, but the Bulldogs fought back, piecing together runs of 4-0 and 3-0 to pull behind 22-20.
- The Crusaders scored on the next three rallies to claim the first set.
SET 2- Holy Cross, 25-20
- Holy Cross used a 7-2 stretch to build a 15-9 lead.
- The Bulldogs scored on three of four rallies, including two kills from Kaitlin Curran, to go down 16-12.
- Curran later delivered an ace and slammed another kill to get Bryant back within four at 24-20 before the Crusaders won the ensuing rally.
SET 3- Holy Cross, 25-22
- The Crusaders carried their momentum into the third set, jumping out to a 10-5 lead.
- Bryant came within a point three separate times: at 12-11 off a Brookelyn Talmadge kill, at 13-12 through an Alvarado kill and at 14-13 following a Curran kill.
- A kill from Alvarado and ace from Curran got Bryant within a point once more at 23-22 until the Crusaders scored twice in a row to complete the sweep.
STATS AND NOTES:
- Barron has produced 10-or-more digs in 17 of her 20 appearances this season.
- Hannah Jackson and Curran posted six kills each. Talmadge contributed five kills.
- Curran and Alvarado also came up with nine digs each.
- Madison Koeller and Madison Keem recorded 12 and 10 assists, respectively.
- The Bulldogs tallied seven aces in the match.
