SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University women's throwers were victorious at the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center for the first meet of 2026. The women's team finished ahead of five schools in the competition, meanwhile, the men's team finished in second.

Panayiota Anastos earned a first place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.51 meters. Anastos recorded a second place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 13.51 meters.

Harmony Forrest earned a second place finish in discus with a mark of 33.50 meters and a fifth place finish in the weight throw.

Ava Pilderian earned a fifth place finish in discus with a mark of 31.42 meters. Pilderian additionally recorded 8th place in shot put and in weight throw.

Moving on to the men's results, Mike O'Reilly earned a first place finish in discus. Darius Smith recorded a fifth place The two freshmen earned a personal record with a marks of 45.74 and 40.64 meters, respectively.

Smith recorded a third place finish in shot put with a mark of 14.95 meters. O'Reilly placed fifth in shot put, having thrown for 14.49 meters.

Cooper Conklin recorded an eighth place finish in weight throw.
