SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University head baseball coach
Ryan Klosterman has announced the addition of a talented group of newcomers to the Bulldogs' roster for the 2026 season. The incoming class features a mix of freshmen and transfers who bring experience, versatility, and depth across all positions.
Transfers
Casey Wensley (INF)
- A transfer from Wheaton College (Mass.), Wensley played in 77 games over two seasons, posting a .369 batting average with 114 hits, 62 RBI, and 69 runs scored.
Aidan Vining (LHP) –
- One of the most decorated pitchers in Johnson & Wales history, Vining graduated as the program's all-time leader in strikeouts (307) and innings pitched (258.2). He was a three-time GNAC Pitcher of the Year and earned multiple All-America honors
Ellis Garcia (INF) –
- A transfer from West Virginia, Garcia played in 127 games over three seasons, hitting .260 with 3 home runs, 12 doubles, and 27 RBI in 2023. He brings Power Five experience and postseason success to Bryant's infield
Hudson Story (INF) –
- A junior transfer from LA Mission College, Story adds depth to the infield and hails from Stevenson Ranch, California.
Thomas Galusha (RHP) –
- A transfer from UConn, Galusha appeared in seven games during the 2025 season, including one start. He posted a season-best outing with 2.0 shutout innings and three strikeouts against LIU. Galusha also pitched against Duke and made his first career start versus Army. He missed the 2024 season due to injury and was a standout at Salisbury School prior to his collegiate career.
Carlos Irizarry (INF) –
- A transfer from Penn State Harrisburg, Irizarry played in 134 career games over three seasons, posting a career slash line of .335/.418/.524. He totaled 154 hits, 151 RBI, and 119 runs scored while helping his team host three NCAA Division III Regionals. Irizarry earned multiple All-Region and All-Conference honors, including United East Rookie of the Year and Volt Division Player of the Year. He served as team captain in both 2024 and 2025 and was named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.
Justin Dressler (RHP) –
- A right-handed pitcher who transfers to Bryant after a strong freshman season at Pace University. Dressler appeared in 17 games, including seven starts, and posted a 4.44 ERA with 37 strikeouts over 52.2 innings.
Cole Schiff (LHP) –
- A graduate transfer from UNC Asheville, Schiff is a 6-foot-4 left-handed pitcher from Wake Forest, N.C. He brings size and experience to Bryant's pitching staff after competing in the Big South Conference.
Zev Salsberg (RHP) –
- A transfer from Ohio State, Salsberg is a right-handed pitcher from Toronto, Ontario. As a freshman in 2025, he made 10 appearances on the mound, striking out three batters over 8.0 innings.
Tommy Flaherty (RHP) -
- A transfer from Clark (MA), Flaherty made 40 appearances, 11 starts, in three seasons. He posted a 10-7 record, 4.75 ERA, 121 strikeouts and just 58 walks in 119.1 innings.
Freshmen
Dylan Prince
- A standout second baseman at Doral Academy, Prince played in 34 games during his senior season in 2025, batting .296 with a .474 on-base percentage. He recorded 21 hits, 24 RBIs, and 32 runs, while also ranking among the top statistical leaders in Florida and Class 6A with 8 home runs.
Vince Ferrell
- A left-handed outfielder and pitcher from Clearwater, Florida, Ferrell starred at Osceola High School, where he batted .324 with a .474 on-base percentage over 28 games in his senior season. He tallied 24 hits, 22 runs, and 14 RBIs, while also stealing 24 bases—ranking among the top statistical leaders in Florida and Class 4A District 10.
Mike Fiatarone
- A left-handed hitting infielder from Shelton, Connecticut, Fiatarone played at Salisbury School, where he developed into a versatile defensive presence and consistent contributor at the plate. He joins Bryant University as part of the 2026 class.
Ian Carter
- A right-handed pitcher from Milford, Massachusetts, Carter starred at Milford High School, where he led the Scarlet Hawks with a 2.40 ERA over nine appearances as a sophomore. He also contributed offensively with a home run and three RBIs, showcasing his versatility as both a pitcher and position player.
Will Hurley
- A right-handed pitcher and second baseman from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Hurley starred at Longmeadow High School and played travel ball with the Powerhouse Bulldogs. Ranked as the 13th-best senior RHP in Massachusetts, he impressed scouts with a fastball touching 88 mph, strong command, and mound presence. Hurley pitched a complete game shutout at a summer tournament, allowing just one hit, and carries a 4.0 weighted GPA off the field.
Max Burkholz
- A left-handed outfielder and pitcher from Coconut Creek, Florida, Burkholz starred at North Broward Prep, batting .500 with a .667 on-base percentage over 30 games in his senior season. He recorded 37 hits, 28 runs, and 13 RBIs. Burkholz helped lead the Eagles to a state championship and played travel ball with the Original Florida Pokers.
Cameron Soroko
- A right-handed hitting utility player and pitcher from Saugus, Massachusetts, Soroko starred at Saugus High School, batting .390 over two varsity seasons with a .471 on-base percentage, 41 hits, 15 RBIs, and 24 runs. He also threw a complete-game shutout with 11 strikeouts against Swampscott.
Yamil Perez
- A right-handed catcher and first baseman from North Branford, Connecticut, Perez played at North Branford High School and competed with the CT Mets travel program. Standing 5'11" and 190 pounds, he showcased strong defensive skills behind the plate and solid offensive potential. Perez was ranked among regional prospects in the Class of 2025.
Jameson Dobis
- A right-handed pitcher from Medford, New Jersey, Dobis starred at St. Augustine Prep, where he showcased a powerful arsenal on the mound. Standing 6'3" and 220 pounds, he topped out at 87 mph with his fastball and featured a curveball, slider and changeup with advanced spin rates. Dobis competed in the Senior Future Games and played travel ball with BPC.
