SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant baseball junior shorstop
Drew Wyers has been named to ABCA All-Region Second Team and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star team, the organizations announced.
The honors add to a postseason haul for Wyers that include America East Player of the Year and First Team All-America East honors. Wyers becomes the first ABCA All-Region selection for the Bulldogs since
Gavin Noriega in 2024 and the 27th all-region selection in DI program history.
A semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, Wyers finished the year hitting .407 with 11 doubles, 11 home runs, 50 RBI and 42 runs scored. Wyers is just the third player in DI program history to hit .400+ in a single season and also finished the year with a 1.231 OPS. He closed the year with a 37-game on-base streak and made just seven errors in 172 chances (.959 fielding percentage). Wyers missed the first three weeks of the season and went 2-for-15 to start the year before rebounding to hit .438 (57-for-130) the rest of the way.
