SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Landon Ruggieri of the Bryant University football team was invited to participate in the New York Giants Rookie Mini Camp that will take place from May 9-10.

Ruggieri is coming off a career season in Smithfield, where he recorded 69 receptions for 1,096 yards and 15 touchdowns. He led the FCS in rec TDs and tied the DI program record for TDs in a season. He had multiple three-TD games (the first player in DI program history to do that. He became the second player in DI program history to tally 1,000+ rec yds, and his mark of 69 rec is the most in a single season.

He was named to the CAA Football First-Team, All-New England Team, and AP All-American.

Ruggieri joins Tom Kennedy, Joe Andreessen, Jamichael Watts, and Matthew Prochaska as Bulldogs who have attended an NFL camp.
