Bryant women's basketball postseason bound; Selected for WNIT

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's basketball team received a bid to the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) as the America East automatic qualifier.

"March is an exciting time in college basketball and we're thrilled that our women's basketball team has earned a chance to play in the postseason," Vice President Athletics & Recreation Bill Smith said.

The WNIT field will be announced on Sunday night (March 16), with the full bracket being announced on Monday, March 17.

Bryant posted a 17-14 record and advanced to the semifinals of the America East Women's Basketball Playoffs. The Bulldogs defeated Binghamton in the quarterfinals to earn their first playoff victory as a member of the America East.

Lynne-Ann Kokoski led the team to a second consecutive season of 15+ wins (17), while the Bulldogs tallied 10 home wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2015-2016. Bryant took home three end-of-season awards, with Mia Mancini making All-America East Second Team, Nia Scott earning a spot on the All-Defensive team, and freshman Oliva Fernandez being named to the All-Rookie team.

The Black and Gold will be making their second postseason tournament appearance in program history. Bryant appeared in the WBI in the 2013-14 season, falling to Fairfield in double OT.
